You may want to look at the forums on www.additudemag.com. Their forums are devoted to ADHD and related conditions.

The forums at ADDitude are cool, as are the forums at TotallyADD
ADDforums.com too
those are the ones I frequent, the folks are nice. It is a close-knit community like WP. :D

http://www.addforums.com/forums as suggested.

It's pretty supportive although people there sometimes have a tendency to get into weird turf wars. Also, there are a few professionals who post there.

moog, you might be interested in the radio 4 program today interviewing Rory Bremner about his ADHD
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0118cxz

he has an in depth program at 830pm on radio 4 saying all about his experiences.

Rory Bremner?? Well, I might look into it.

Okay, I listened to that, was reasonably interesting. Maybe I should go and try to get assessed for ADD.
