Kip - an Irish slang word meaning, basically, a dirty, disgusting or undesirable place. A tip. A hole. I'm just being difficult. Ignore me.

It's dirty, disgusting, littered with chavs and scroungers on welfare, it's laden with charity and pawn shops (the amount of them shocked even me). It's a town in decline. There are lots of lovely old buildings there but they are just being left to ruin.

It's the result of decades of social policies, I'm afraid.

Did children really need free school milk by the time it was abolished?

Wigan isn't pretty (and I bet that becomes even more so at night) but it's OK, I think. It's not the prettiest town by any means but it's not the worst either.

I bet even I could get laid there. ;)

Leigh is much worse. Eugh.

I'll make note of these places in case I ever get the chance to travel to England so that I can steer clear of them.

My sister lives in Manchester actually. She hasn't said very many negative things about it, except that there are loads of chavs there.
