It's dirty, disgusting, littered with chavs and scroungers on welfare, it's laden with charity and pawn shops (the amount of them shocked even me). It's a town in decline. There are lots of lovely old buildings there but they are just being left to ruin.

It's the result of decades of social policies, I'm afraid.

My sister lives in Manchester actually. She hasn't said very many negative things about it, except that there are loads of chavs there.
