Lord Obama has released his full official legal Hawaiian birth certificate. He is a natural born U.S. Citizen. To Birthers: Shut up!

Apparently Donald Trump considers this a great personal (his own) achievement.

Possible presidential candidate Donald Trump and others had raised questions about the previous birth document released by Obama during the campaign, a computer-generated "Certification of Live Birth." They said it did not prove conclusively the Obama was born in Hawaii and was eligible to be president.

"I'm very proud of myself because I've accomplished something that nobody else has been able to accomplish," Trump said this morning.

"He should have done it a long time ago," Trump said. "I am really honored, frankly, to have played such a big role in hopefully -- hopefully -- getting rid of this issue."

He said the document needs to be verified but that now the campaign can focus on more important issues like China and OPEC.

"I feel like I have accomplished something really, really important and I'm honored by it."

Isn't it kind of pointless to bring this up mid-term?

I am sure the birthers will shut up at the same time the pro-vaccine people shut up about the Wakefield study (or Wakefield will even shut up for that matter).

Now he just needs to prove he isn't a hippy muslim nazi marxist!

Trump's other line was even better: He's happy that the certificate's been release, "if it proves to be real..."

Includes a copy of the certificate. Of course, the birthers will say it was faked. Psychotic delusion is no laughing matter.

The man finally did what he should have long ago. I didn't doubt that he was born in the U.S.A. However, his refusal to release his birth certificate until tremendous pressure required him to do so testifies of his arrogance. It is a shame that it took Donald Trump's power to get this document released rather than the pleas of the American people.

Obama's stalling and arrogance has resulted in a honorable Army doctor's career being ruined. Lt Col. Lakin was railroaded via a court martial and lost his career as well as military pension for having the audacity to question Obama's eligibility to be president under the Constitution. Regardless of where he was born, Obama is unworthy to hold the office of President of the United States.

Although Obama is American by birth, he is a Communist at heart. Donald Trump is not that savory of a character either. He tried to steal a widow's home through imminent domain so that he could build a parking for a fleet of limousines. I hope that he is exposed for what he is long before the presidential primaries are upon us. Hopefully the American people will wake up and not fall for this guy's sly words. We need someone like Ron Paul for President next election, or we can kiss this country good bye.

Jumping through hoops for the crazies at this point is a waste of his time.

He shouldn't have revealed it- the publicity associated with the whole fiasco just made Republican/Teabagger birthers look really, really stupid- it was the best kind of campaign publicity one could ever hope for. Obama didn't need to do anything, or spend any money; every single thing the birthers said basically turned those with half a brain against Obama's opponents and sapped their intellectual credibility.

I've said it here before that if he would just show his long form birth certificate that I would be satisfied. Was that really so hard for him to do? However, that does make the questions about his social security number(s) more baffling.
