Truthers, Birthers and Deniers.
Conspiracy Theorists are nut jobs. Wake Up people smell the coffee. Blah blah blah.

Conspiracy theories include:
Hitler is still alive and fled to Mexico
JFK's assassination was carried out by the: Mafia, CIA, Castro, the Russians or some other group.
Moon landing was fake
9/11 was an inside Job
Obama birth certificate is a fake
Obama is not American and is a Mulsim.
Michael Jackson is still alive.
The Royal Families are aliens.
Osama Bin Laden's death was a media scam.

No real proof and evidence is provided to back up the claim to the conspiracy theory and they are easily debunked.

Since 1945 the KGB has had the only piece of Hitler that didn't get cremated, a piece of his skull, and a dentist confirmed it to be him using the dental records the Americans captured.

Mythbusers proved the moon landing and independent radio operators in the late '60s and early '70s traced the radio signals from the moon, not moving through orbit.

The case isn't 100% closed on Obama's birth certificate until it is compared with others of mixed race kids from the area and time, and submitted for forensic analysis.

Michael Jackson is dead. The coroner had his body and found it full of illegally prescribed drugs.

The royal families are humans that act the way they do because they were raised and continue to remain disconnected from the real world.

Bin Laden is dead. Obama does not have enough support from any head or branch of the defense or state department to pull off that hoax.

There are conspiracy theories that have been proven true, like MK Ukltra, a bunch of involuntary infectious disease experiments, bio warfare experiments in inner city areas, the Iran-Contra scandal, and more recently project gunrunner.

Aye. I hate that moon landing conspiracy garbage. You'd think the USSR would have raised an outcry if it had been faked. They tracked it for sure, and I'm pretty sure there were some congratulations sent to NASA by their Soviet counterparts. That is the killer thing that I don't get. It was a Moon Race. If one of the powers had cheated, the other would have definitely said something. Why is it that some random internet loonies feel they know better because they watched a couple of that idiot Bart Sibrel's cockumentaries - erm, documentaries? I can't think of many things more scary than going to the moon with 1960s technology.

The reason why so many people believe the Moon Landing was a fake is because they used a bean fart chemical powered rocket rather than a nuclear powered rocket so the technology was a dead end.

If Christopher Columbus had used a row boat powered by slaves instead of a sailing ship to get to America of course he would have never gone back to America and everyone would have thought it was a fake.

The Moon landing was a joke. The feeble chemical powered rocket could only take 2 astronauts to the Moon. A nuclear rocket could have easily transported 50 astronauts to the Moon. The space age has not even begun yet.

Well I think all the well known conspiracy theories are deliberately flimsy, which is in fact a conspiracy in itself, to distract us from the real conspiracies.

You forgot one...Earth isn't round, it's flat like a coin. Ridiculous theory IMOO.

And another one...sightings of Bigfoot, DB Cooper, the Loch Ness Monster, Yeti,
and aliens have been covered up by various governments. More ridiculousness.

I’ve only had one individual and his dingbat wife tell me that it was fake and it was all I could do to keep from laughing at them.

Oswald was a known communist sympathizer who lived in the USSR for a while, but he alienated himself from the communist governments and groups. Also, 2 of the 3 shots are confirmed to have come from the book depository and the third most likely did as well.

I'm sorry, but the "Obama birth certificate is fake" theory is laughable at best. It's ugly and hateful at its worst.

The Obama birth certificate needs further investigation before anyone says for sure, and until then, people have good right to be skeptical but nobody should be screaming that it's a fake like it's gospel truth.

Well, actually, the Saturn V took three astronauts to the Moon; only two touched down, due to a combination of space limitations in the LEM and the fact that there were no good automated docking systems at the time, and unlike the "manned on only one side" dockings performed by Gemini missions, if anything had gone wrong in docking the LEM back to the command module, the astronauts couldn't have aborted and gone back to Earth.

The problem with NERVA was that, had it been built with 1960s technology, the exhaust would have been horribly radioactive. It's similar to the problem with using an Orion drive in atmosphere. And, of course, while technology has improved, and we could probably build a NERVA-style engine that wouldn't be lethal for the environment, now there are too many people terrified of nuclear reactors (they even objected to the plutonium-decay reactor that powered the Cassini probe - some were convinced that when Cassini came back to do its slingshot around Earth to gain energy while blasting for Saturn, it would whack into Earth and explode in an utterly impossible nuclear fireball).

Actually, with modern technology, I'd rather use either chemical rockets or a laser-launch system to get to orbit, then assemble a small reactor there to power a VASIMR coupled-charge ion drive. Get the drive's output up around the 200-kW range (which the inventor expects to do Any Day Now), and you can put together a decent-sized manned mission with a constant thrust of around .01g - which gets you to Mars in about 39 days, rather than the current one-to-two-year Hohmann-orbit plan. No need to hang around for a couple of years to wait for Mars to move back to opposition, either... (And then we can start working on the technology needed for a tether system, and eliminate those pesky ground-to-orbit rockets altogether. )
