Do you ever think that girls or women had ever tell you that you're weird? Because they've told me an it hurt a little bit.

Like when they are looking at you strangely, and somehow you feel isolated by them.

I used to hate it when I was called weird. It's true though. I am weird, but is that such a bad thing?

Lots of teenage girls hate themselves with a passion you and I can barely comprehend. It makes them mean, sometimes. Show some compassion to the sad girls, and leave the rude ones to grow up a little.

1. You can't read minds
2. They don't know that you have AS
3. It doesn't matter

If these people are judging you by your cover then it's not the type of thing to worry about or even think about.

I think that makes sense......I have definitely felt it and seen it too. Been called it a few times by this one girl I liked who might have had a thing for me for a little bit but I guess I blew it and she was almost 5 years younger than me.

You would prefer... what? To be "normal"? To be infinitely replaceable?

What makes you weird makes you worthy of love. Of loving and of being loved.

A word to those who call Asperger's a disorder: we do not call it a "disorder" here. That's what I always say when our local society meets, that we do not call it a disorder here, I'm a stickler for that, we call it a condition if anything.

I have had a woman tell me my "shyness" caused me to give off a weird vibe. The same women wanted to go out with me because her two kids loved hanging out with me when she brought them into work. Normally I would have jumped on the chance to go out with her but I know for a fact she cheated on every guy she went out with. She would brag about to the waitresses and bus boys at the waitress station. When I told her thank you but no she told everyone I wouldn't go out with someone who had kids which was a lie.

Someone who calls you weird odds are are not that great themselves so don't get too broken up over it.

Not in those words, but one in I think grade 4 asked me "Do you like how you are?" or words to that effect, which was kind of a profound question for people of our age, and it didn't bother me until years later when it really occurred to me that it wasn't really a question but an accusation, or am implication that I shouldn't.

I was by a girl I care a lot about that I wasnt her best friend but I was one of her best friends because I 'got her' (understand her) since I had 'my' problems.

That... I don't know... hurt a lot and was sort of a comforting praise at the same time. ugh.

Yeah. Last time, it was from a girl who, judging by the way she and her friend were glancing at me, could be interested in me. After we talked a little (to be honest, they asked questions and I answered in as few words as possible), she told me I am "somewhat weird", thanks to some of my more childish interests. After some more conversation, she said girls won't like me if I am too shy. I actually found her bluntness very enlightening, although I've become more dettached than usual since then (it happened last Easter).

And, as we all know, all girls like exactly the same things.

There are girls that find being shy a turn-on. Here's the thing: If you fake not being shy and attract a woman for that, she's not attracted to you, she's attracted to who you're pretending to be. Either the relationship will fall apart, or you'll be stuck in a miserable one for the rest of your life.

Either way, pretending to be something other than yourself never works.
