I am an AS individual.
I also have epilepsy.

Sometimes I'll have sensory overload (clearly from the AS) and have a panic attack because I KNOW my brain feels funny before a seizure - Now, I KNOW that my aura is distinctive of the sensation of sensory overload, but when my brain flies off kilter I lose objectivity.

Does anyone else have this sort of experience? Do you ever have the lines blur "Was this me being AS, or something else?"

I too have epilepsy, with terrifying auras that make me feel like I'm in a dreamworld. Too much light is my biggest trigger. When an aura starts threatening the edges of my mind, I go into panic, which makes it worse.
I'm not sure how I would mistake all of that for AS, though.

My aura isn't nearly so dramatic - it's a quiet unusualness which is why I react so poorly.
