I'm worried about something, is it my AS or something else?

I forget most things that have been said to me, and I struggle to remember more than three things at once. Recently my memory has been getting worse and worse and I keep forgetting important things such as doctors appointments and my bus pass and other stuff like that. I'm kind of worried about it, but I've been told that slow mental processing is a part of my AS. Is this correct? I can't handle too many instructions at once and they need to be given to me one after the other, otherwise I completely shut down and can't understand what people are telling me.

I would say that this is part of YOUR AS. My 21 year old is the same, only he can only remember about 1 instruction at a time and even then he needs to have an interest in it.

If it's getting worse, are you under extra stress at the moment?

Yes would be an understatement.
