I'm from chandler.

I'd like to meet some of you guys from chandler or nearby (I do magic!), looking for new friends.

Hate the weather. Riding 16 miles a day in the 100+ degree heat on my bicycle sucks.

A day? God. I rode 17 miles somewhere last friday, but it's rare I go so far. I do ride in this heat a lot though.

yeah. I used to just ride 8 miles to the gym and back, but the past 5 months + I've been going to a community center for therapy and socializing. Going to go tomorrow too. It's in Mesa. It's actually only about 14 miles round trip I think, but still in the heat its brutal. And then lifting weights after....sometimes I"m too exhausted ;p

Would love to meet you, especially another bike person and aspie. I'd love to meet all of you, I need to make friends....badly!
Its driving me insane, heh. Last time I had a 'decent' friend he took advantage of me. Knew him for 6 years...really sucked.

I usually go to the gym too on my bike. In fact, when I biked 17 miles last week, it was to go to Bally Total Fitness on Cactus and Cave Creek, because the one by my house folded. I said screw this, I'm canceling my membership. Too far, too hot, the route's inconvenient (whole stretches of highway don't even have a bike path, I had to push by bike through hills of palo verde). And by the time I get there, I'm so tired I can't get a good work out in. And I'm gonna do that every time I go to the gym? That's not worth it. I'm going with LA fitness maybe.

GoldCoin, do you use a road bike or mountain bike?

I live in Gilbert. I used to ride my bike to and from work in Tempe. It was 14.9 miles, exactly, each way. I would not mind meeting new people. I am diagnosed with Apergers, speak 3 languages, and will be working on PhD beginning in January of 2012. I am employed as a financial analyst. I know that other people with Aspergers meet at the Tempe library on Saturday morning. I haven't gone, yet. I want to go. Call the library and ask for information, if you are interested in that. Otherwise, I walk around the Riparian Reserve at Guadalupe and Greenfield, usually at 8am.

Cool beans. There's also a group that meats at the Pyle Center monthly. It's the east side autism group or something like that. I attended a few Junes ago, and liked it fine enough, but I don't like the commute to Tempe. But it would be just perfect for you. PM me if you're interested. Rather, just google it.
