What do you think of them and does anyone here go to any? I'm going to Glastonbury next week and hope the weather's good.

music fests are common in nola and i go to them whenever i can. good food and music are a great time to me, oh and of course all this humidity adds to a great time.

I've been to a couple of Big Day Out music festivals. Most of the bands were great to hear live, especially Tool, Iggy and the Stooges and the Prodigy to name a few. If you are going to go a music festival, make sure you bring some of those foam earplugs because they are super handy and water is a must too (I brought in a camelpack and everything isn't cheap at a music festival). Unfortunately BDO attracts the worst kind of drunk people ever and hipsters...

For 2012, burning man and coachella, and maybe outdoor lands with my brother. But definitely burning man and coachella specifically for progressive house / electro house artists. I attended EDC 2009/10 in LA but won't make it for 2011.

I enjoy seeing the big guns deadmau5, axwell, wolfgang gartner, afrojack, tiesto, and avicii but would also love to catch pig and dan, ida engberg, scumfrog, panpot, aeroplane, crookers, Claude von stroke, and boys noize.

My main hope is to catch shm live though - I was at edc but didn't get to see their performance, and hopefully leave the world behind never gets too old that they stop playing at shows

ha ha, if you saw the amount of rain expected you might change your mind. Not sure If I will even see Beyonce yet as she clashes with queens of the stone age

I used to go to some "jam band" festivals. Been years, and I don't even know if they'd be the same these days.

I'm going to drive 13 hours to Queensland at the end of July to go to the Splendour in the Grass festival. I'll be camping there for the three days the festival runs and then will drive back the next day. I'll be hoping to see Eskimo Joe, Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan, Regina Spektor, Noah & the Whale, and Boy & Bear, amongst other acts.
