I was pretending to be a big scary monster with Olivia and she appeared to be enjoying it. I chased her to her room and she covered herself up with the blanket so I couldn't see her. I pretended to not be able to find her by looking in the closet and other rooms for her when I decided to hide in the bathroom for her. She came looking for me. When she reached the bathroom, I went "RAWR!" and she let out this squeal and ran back to her bed. it was pretty funny.

That's awesome that she enjoyed that interaction! We have a hide-n-seek ritual at our hosue, I have to look in exactly 3 places before I "find" DS or he gets upset.

Hide and seek was always fun because my little hider could not stop herself from laughing herself silly from her hiding place.

My 9 year old still does this.

One of our games is "kiss monster." He kisses me and I turn into a kiss monster and run after him chanting "Must. Kiss." We run around for a while -- our house is nicely set up for this, we can run in circle for ages -- and eventually I catch him and kiss him and he becomes the kiss monster.

We have a version of this game, too! My daughter requests "a beating" and runs to her bed or the sofa- I have to run after her and give Dinosaur kisses (lots of roaring) and blow raspberries on her cheeks. it's crazy but I hope we never outgrow it.
