I've got a girlfriend and her friends and family are my only friends. I'm lucky I guess. You'll find friends. I always say try to find people who like your special interest.

I would say I have friends scattered around but not close friends. I've had a major occupational obstacle from so much traveling as a commercial driver. I would really like to stop being on the run all the time.

Do local things. Maybe go bowling or take an art class. I would love to have a pet cat again.

I made a new friend this month. It felt great. Like I was a teenager again.

I went to Meetup.com and looked up autism and met this great guy (in a group of five others when we went for coffee) who totally gets me.

Caution of course is needed when meeting up with anyone from online. But check it out. I was really happy to have met someone. :) It depends on your age of course. I don't want to recommend the wrong thing. but checking out the website and seeing if there are others like you in your area can't hurt. :)

You may even have an Asperger's group near you.

No. And no. I'm perfectly ok with the fact I don't have any friends. I haven't had any friends for 10 years and frankly, I really don't want any.

I seem to attract people but they stop coming around when I start slowing down the amount of time I spend hanging out with them. I don't really stop being around them its just that is what they accuse me of not wanting to hang out. They don't understand I need to be alone a lot to stay sane and that I am not purposely avoiding them.

The two closest friends that I have I see them 1 time in a month... or two month... a few friends of one of those friends consider me like a friend.. I dont..

I get marry in a 3 month relationship with someone who understand my problems, yeah thats fast, but I consider him like a friend too...

And no.. I dont want more friends... I am afraid to meet new people in "real life", I prefer being here in the inet..

I have 1 or 2 that I talk to on the phone but I seem to scare people off I'm just not one of those people that anyone likes.

I've known my best friend since she was three and I was four. We stopped talking for about five years though because she thought I didn't care about her. We live in different states now, but we talk on the phone a couple hours a week.
I thought I had a new friend, but now she's being a drama llama and I'm not sure. It's sad and I wish I could figure out what's going on, but I'm used to it.

Ajenjonadita, I want to steal your avatar... it's so cute!!

*ahem*

Back on topic... I am very close to my family and boyfriend but don't have many friends apart from that. I have a few good aquaintances whom I respect and enjoy hanging around with at college, but I wouldn't class them as 'buddies' in the gossip-and-nights out kind of way.

I honestly don't think I could handle being in an NT girls group; for a start I'd have to hang around the edge for ages and go with the flow to be 'admitted' into the inner circle.. I can't stand all the fuss.

I had a bunch in college, sad thing is that they live so far away. I wish I had friends that lived closer than an hour away that I could see on a regular basis. :(

I have one friend, and a few acquaintances. My friend is overseas this year and I feel a bit lonely but I'm not excactly making an effort to get closer to the other people in my life. I just want her back :(

all of my friends are people i work with or people in my hiking club or neighbors. we don't do things other than chat when our paths cross. Recently when I had surgery I realized I really don't have a real friend because the only person i felt safe asking to drive me home after surgery was my mom. But yesterday one of the work friends came over to help me wash my hair because it's difficult post surgery so that was like a friend so i think I do have friends. I want friends but I am fairly happy with a large percentage of my time alone or with my animals.
