Crazy people are those that fail to comply with various social norms, including behavioral, thinking and linguistic norms. Autistic people don't "sense" the norms AS MUCH so a large percentage probably would also fail to comply, so I would think that a large percentage of autistic people would also be considered "crazy". So, have you been called crazy or are considered crazy by a relatively large percentage of people?

No, I haven't been considered "crazy" in the more colloquial sense very often.

I am considered to be a cold, insensitive, and indifferent bastard from my looks around other people. So I guess that would be a yes.

Let's see... I'm gifted, aspie/schizotypal, have ADHD and panic disorder, increasingly frequent bouts of derealization and other kinds of perceptual distortions, and generally feel like a starfish alien in a sixteen-year-old's body.

Um, I consider myself crazy.

Sorta. But I know a lot of people who are much crazier than me.

Yeah, although most tend to use the more PC term "mentally ill". In addition to AS, I've also been diagnosed with OCD, depression and anxiety disorder.

Sometimes. I usually take it as a compliment. :D

This one time management lady said I was "nuts" when I described my lifestyle.

A certain church leader has tried to spread rumors that I am "Mentally Ill" (her words). I think it's because all of her kids like me, and she can't change that. Neither can she tell me what to do, say, or think.

I'm white, she's not, and her kids are about my age.
