For me, I'm annoyed by a lack of brevity in speech, aspergians yapping on and on and on

I remember having to listen and nod constantly at support group meetings. I'd finally manage to extricate myself from a one sided conversation only to fall into the same sit and listen trap with another yapping male, it was fairly prevalent for me. The women seemed more cognisant of these one sided conversations....

To me it smacks of domination. Even bullying if you like. (I may have to duck for that one!!)

Maybe its just me, as I'm sometimes under the influence of cannabis, which mitigates this annoying hyper communication problem, but when my brain is free of cannabinoids, I can yap with the best of them!!

I'm sure my life would be easier if I could learn to STFU without weed

What do you dislike the most about AS?

1) The way being touched makes me feel horrible
2) Memory problems
3) Social anxiety
4) The way light, noise, and vibrations make me feel
5) The way I talk too much
6) The inability to read people

I dislike the bad name it sometimes gets.

If you ask, "what do you dislike about having AS", then I would say not knowing what to say in conversations, that is most annoying at the moment.

The anxiety is the worst for me. I hate the way my mind picks everything apart. I'm always re-analyzing past situations and worrying about the future.

Having to sometimes give the performance of a lifetime day in day out as leading NT guy and never be nominated for an Oscar.

I can't naturally make small talk and that has caused many problems between my wife and myself. She is the very outgoing type while I have trouble always making sense when I talk to people. It just takes a LOT of energy out of me!
I guess that is my biggest peeve with AS/HFA.

This and sensory issues. I do not love having loud noises effectively turn off my brain for the duration.

I do not really care about everything else.

Not understanding what to do in a conversation. My life would be so much better if I could.

The group thinking that it currently attracts. Everything else, I can work on improving, but the stigma is not something I can change, and I hate group thinking.

What are you referring to by "group thinking?"
