Greedy, selfish, immoral are the principles behind Capitalism. A sex worker will sell her body and repeat the process over and over: a true Capitalist is a sex worker. A drug dealer sells his drugs at the right price and he is also a Capitalist.

Capitalists sell anything to make a living or profit. Supply and demand determines the price of capitalism. Capitalists do not believe in charitable actions. Not my taxes is their argument and taxes is where the government has a gun held to your head.

Socialism is the redistribution of taxes or the giving away of proceeds through charitable donations. Socialists need to borrow more money and they usually end up running out of money because they give it all away. Socialists rely on leeching off others hard work.

Are are you a Randroid Capitalist or a Marxist Socialist?

Shouldn't something like this be in a different forum? Because this is about Autism Politics and not Politics in general.

You know that not all socialists are marxists, do you? I'm a democratic socialist, and I don't agree with Marxism.

This should be in the PPR forum.

A Capitalist usually believes there is an evil hidden agenda behind a gift. There must be a catch. Sceptics/criticism/pessimism attitude.
There is no such thing as a free lunch.

A Socialist on the other hand would freely give or accept gifts with a Thank You and never ask questions.

We are all either Capitalists/Pessimist or a Socialist/Optimist.

too general

there are many socialistic free market states that promote capitalism and as much as they promote socialism.

the thinking they are mutually exclusive is a cold war relic that should be shunned to the cellars of history with the quickness.

Discuss? Unless you are speaking to one person you have not identified, this is a totally ridiculous statement.

"Everybody is either an Albanian or a Samoan"

"Everybody is either a rock singer or a detective"

"Everybody is either a white male or a baby Inuk."

Discuss those, why don't you?

How do you account for the Canegie Foundation. Also Carnegie endowed 3000 free libraries so workingmen could have access to books. This was back in the late 19th century and early 20 th century when working people had rather limited funds from their wages.

Or the Ford Foundation?

Or the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation?

Right.

"I know you are, but what am i?"

What if I'm in favor of a form of mercantilism with adjustments for fair treatment of colonies? Before the colonization of the Americas, most nations seemed to benefit from mercantilism. It ran into problems though when offshoot colonies were considered to be for the benefit of the mother country alone. That error should not supersede the former success of the prior economic system.

I was never a fan of Zeppo Marx. Also, his wife left him for Frank Sinatra so what does he know?

What if I don't take seriously either the inane, ingenuous babblings of Ayn Rand or the inane, ingenuous babblings of Karl Marx? Is there no third option?

(For my money, Karl was funnier than Zeppo or Chico, but nowhere near as funny as Groucho or Harpo.)
