What to do when it seems entire family is ASpie?

i am an ASpie mom, 51 years old, with four kids, three of which are boys who have been DXed with AS/ADD and one who either has picked up traits or is unDXed because my husband didnt want to go through all the hoora of it yet again. our daughter seems to be NT, but is also a visual thinker, etc. our oldest son, now 20, was DXed in the mid 90s, and his brother, now 19, with ADD, soon after. it was while studying about how to help them that i discovered i have the same situations myself, which has been an asset.

but more and more i've been thinking that my husband must be an ASpie himself....he has so many of the traits, but if i bring up the possibilty, he goes ballistic. he is 57, teaches high school English in our small town academy for over 20 years, and hasnt changed how he does it in the least, except perhaps to add onto the curriculum, making it the class with the most paperwork in the whole school. he is so inflexible in so many ways, where we used to work together well.

are there any other couples out there, that have encountered this?

I think most of us find our families filled with AS, in varying degrees, although how the various members respond to it, and how it plays out in the family, vary widely.

In my family, we're got two with a mis-mash of traits including some AS traits, some ADD, some who knows what, but nothing diagnosable (me and my daughter), one diagnosed AS (my son), and one suspected AS (my husband's own conclusion about himself).

What part of your experience are you most hoping to find someone to relate to?
