Here's a website about famous people with autistic traits.

I like Bob Dylan...

Some of his stuff is a bit self-righteous... but that's sort of the point... the Vietnam War and the Nixon Presidency were a travesty...

There are more famous aspie engineers and scientists like Nikola Tesla...

"Today's scientists have substituted mathematics for experiments, and they wander off through equation after equation, and eventually build a structure which has no relation to reality."

Source: "Radio Power Will Revolutionize the World". Modern Mechanics and Inventions, July, 1934

I'm studying philosophy of science...

If you believe some of the theories going 'round, its practically impossible to be a great scientist unless you're an aspie, so there's some good in it.

Personally, the famous "alleged" aspie I feel I can identify most with is Robin Williams (if he is indeed AS - there seems to be some debate on this) - he's seemingly made a career out of his "front" personalties, somewhat similarly to (albeit to a much more extreme level than) myself. He still gets on my nerves as an entertainer though..... :)

Keanu Reeves is aspie according to several sources.
Steven Spielberg is officially diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, according to the Internet Movie DataBase and other sources.
Craig Nicholls, the lead singer of The Vines, is officially aspie too.

Andy Warhol is autistic, as far as I know. At least, I read it several times.

There is no official source claiming that, yet when I watched the documentaries about J.R.R. Tolkien in the DVDs of the extended versions of LOTR, he seemed very aspie to me. I think he was. I will list all the things that makes me think so.

I knew about Albert Einstein (he is the most famous aspie) and Thomas Edison. I am not sure about Woody Allen, though he has some traits.
Is Bill Gates really an aspie or is he a smart geek ?

Unortunately, there are very few 100% confirmed famous aspies: Steven Spielberg, The bloke out of the "Vines" (whoever they are) and Gary Numan being the only ones I know of who are 100% "outed". All the rest are basically speculation, sadly. And its highly unlikely any of the dead people mentioned can ever be totally confirmed.....

Andy Warhol, from what I've read, definitely suffered from AS.

I didn't know Spieldberg was, that's pretty neat.

Is Johnny Depp an Aspie? I read an interview he gave and he sure sounds like one if he isn't.

I never heard or read his name in any aspie list. What made you think so ?

I'm basing it mostly on his demeanor. He doesn't follow the dictates of fashion, he moved to and lives in France, he likes it there because, he says, he feels safer. He and his family can move about without being disturbed.

I also noticed speech patterns that are very similarto AS.

I adore Johnny and would like to know more about him, but; he is also very reclusive.
