I plan to give it a try. I read an article that mentioned Snarf doesn't talk in this series, so that can only be a good thing. Damn, was he annoying. The most irritating pet-sidekick of all time, in my opinion.

Yeah, but you'd think they would bury his pyramid under a mile of concrete by now...just in case.

And what's this nonsense of the cats having bows and arrows (didn't the get to Third Earth via spaceship from an advanced civilization) and their enemies having rockets?

It looks okay. I think I was more excited by the classic Thundercats marathon this past weekend.

Exactly! Watching the show as a kid in the Eighties, I always wanted Mumm-Ra to grab Snarf and bite his furry head off. :twisted:

Just saw it! My thoughts:
Pros:
Lion-o's dad? That's the dude who originally played Lion-o in the 80's version!
Cheetarah is even sexier! Mrow! (hey, I'm a guy)
Mumm-rah was great
The animation was excellent.
Lion-o doesn't go through the whole "adult kid" ordeal...yet.
Cons:
Why is Panthro dead? (note: if it's revealed that he's actually alive later, I'll forgive them.
I don't like the idea of the Thundercats enslaving the lizards. Originally, Thundera was supposed to be a utopia.
Snarf can't talk. I think this was punishment for being so annoying. I personally don't think he was annoying in the original. Lion-o needed a voice of reason since he was a kid trapped in an adult's body. Now, Snarfer, Snarf's nephew--he was annoying.

It may be a fantastic re dub, but I just can't get into it. Reading the other posts I'm excited that its along the same timeline, as well as the addition of positive and negative elements to thundera. I just hope it doesn't end up being another failure like other cartoon re vamps.
btw, I'd kinda like to see a new Bucky O'Hare cartoon, but that's just me. I'm a dork
