In general, yes. If you ever ride an airplane, or even if you just look at Google Earth, you can see the suburbs and how they are expanding through what was previously fields or forest. Where I live, the development is so uneven, there's literally a Kohl's in the middle of a cornfield on a backcountry road. They expect the area around it to be built up very soon; that's why they put it there. Global warming is real, but I don't know if it is necessarily human caused. I do think limiting greenhouse gases such as CO2 is an okay idea, as it will likely improve the health of people's lungs, regardless of whether it helps the temperatures or not. I've heard two different reports as to what the major climate change will be like once it hits its main swing -- that it will be like the previous Ice Age, or that it will just be really, really hot and the oceans will rise. If I had to have a choice, I'd choose an Ice Age, because we humans already have a track record with living in icy environments. And I suppose I prefer cold weather, but perhaps that's too shortsighted a reason.
