An idea for WP - Organised debates

I see all the debates, disagreement and arguments among what is a diverse group of WP members, and thought it might be a good idea for WP to have organised debates about particular motions, moderated by moderators. Has this been thought of or considered before? I am sure it would generate quite a bit of interest.

You're quite the optimist! :lol:

Realistically, given the time zone differences and people not necessarily being able to send time on the computer when a facilitated debate is being held, it won't work.
