do you live with your parents?

I do. have never moved out. not sure I want to. I am 30 years old.

I've been living on my own for 5 years.

I kind of have to. You know, I'm not an adult and all that other stuff.

well she lives with me since my father passed away many years ago.

I moved out when I was 19 but the economic disaster we just had forced me to move back in 2009 for a few months. I moved out again in November of 09 and hopefully I will never go back except to visit. I love my parents more than anyone else on the planet, but I can only handle them now in small doses.

I've been living with mine all my life. I haven't worked in 3 & a half years due to disabilities & I don't get a lot from Social Security Disability. I also cant drive & there isn't much of a public transportation system here. I don't really have any other options rite now except to live with my parents & they aren't very happy that I'm living with em because they were living an their own when they were 20 & they were married & owned their own home by the time they were my age. Me & my girlfriend are planning on moving in together next summer thou so I should only have one more year here

Yes, I do. For the foreseeable future at least in any case.

I've never had my own place. On five separate occasions, I've gone to live with my sister in a roommate situation, the idea being that I would get a job and either get my own place or stay with her. I got a job once while living with her. It lasted three days.

Yes. I lived on my own for about three years (moved a LOT and needed help with remembering to pay bills and rent....and then with paying those whenever I lost a job and couldn't find another one), but couldn't seem to succeed for more than a few months at a time, so I've moved back in with my parents.....

I'm hoping to move out again--I don't function well living at home (meaning, "I don't function when I live with other people"....when I live on my own I merely struggle with functioning)........hopefully I won't fail at independent living next time around.

Yep. Still live with them, as I can't find a decent-paying job and was rejected for SSDI earlier this month (it wouldn't enough to live on, but I was hoping to use backpay to move to a town with a better job market).

But it's getting harder for people today to avoid living with their parents for longer. Money, jobs, housing, all tricky things for many.

In the old days, it was perfectly acceptable to live with one's parents with one's spouse and children. I wonder if it will become that way again.

But no, my parents are not alive.

Yes, because I'm 17, but I want to move out as soon as I can. Parents are only here to distract me.
