A friend just got hit by a car

I wasn't exactly sure where to put this thread...

I friend of mine from work just got hit by a car yesterday (Saturday) while on his bike. He was messed up pretty badly, and his bike was in shreds afterwards. I found out like maybe 10 minutes after it happened.

Luckily, he's alright. I heard from him over the phone an hour after it happened, while he was in the hospital.

Wow, it must be one of those times when we feel like we got bushwacked by whoever runs the universe. Going along just fine, then kerblooey!
