Hi,

As an adult with suspected AS, what are the best books people have found.

"Autism/Aspergers: Solving the Relationship Puzzle" seams to be geared towards helping children. Are there any such self-help books that you would recommend for adults?

Thanks
Dave

Most of the books I've seen seem to be about children too- perhaps some of the other members might have had more luck than me with this.
Oh and welcome to wrong planet. :)

Most books written for adults seem to be written for parents, caregivers, or health service providers.

Most of the adult-oriented books written for Aspies I've seen are specifically geared to helping Aspies deal with the college environment. (A few decades too late for me)

Ironically the most helpful book I've found, so far, is Freaks, Geeks and Asperger Syndrome, written by Luke Jackson, an Aspie who was 13 at the time.

Disclaimer: I have not been aware of AS all that long, and so my database of sources, though growing, is still rather limited.

There is a supplement book to the one you mentioned geared towards Teenagers and Adults.

Asperger Syndrome and long-term relationships is very good, very informative not just about relationships but AS in adults in general. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASI ... 48-2651048

Just ignore the stupid criticism that someone wrote on the Amazon comments.
