We watch alot of movies in my household and i get really uncomfortable vibes when sharing a movie. Its like people expect me to respond in certain ways or somthing and it kinda wierds me out. i do enjoy the company but i cant focus or enjoy the movie as much as i do alone. anyone find it difficult and uncomfortable to watch movies with other people? is this related to AS or is just me?

I don't know.

I don't react as others do (which is later pointed out to me by other people), but I don't notice or care whether or not that bothers them.

I get the same weird vibes when watching movies with people. I'm always conscious of my reactions & wether I'm laughing at the appropriate moments. When I'm with close friends I don't think about it as much but around people I don't know well it can be really uncomfortable.

Oddly enough, the only time i want to talk with a group of people is if there is a movie playing

if i watch a movie i get lost of everything around me, just me and the wonderful piece of motion picture.
i don't sense the thoughts of people with me then.

I don't care for watching movies with others. Probably because the movies that interest me aren't very interesting to those around me. I also tend to point out how illogical and unreal some movie scenes are, how the main hero would never survive a certain situation, etc.
