Developing & creating new habits. . .
For me it is SO hard to form new habits or routines! I've always tried to find ways to better myself in all areas of my life and I keep getting so frustrated. I love to research and find new information but it's so hard to put that information into practice! It's like I gather all these ideas and tips on how to do the things I want to do (cooking, exercise, hobbies, etc.) but something happens when I try to perform these activities. . . They just don't get done! It's extremely hard to be successful in creating a habit to do things regularly.
For NT people I know it's as though it comes so easy to them - they just pick up something new and go for it! They take up a new hobby and are able to produce a favorable outcome from the time they put into it. When I do something I guess it always seems so pointless, like I'm not doing it right or something so I give up.
Not sure if this has anything to do with my Aspieness. . . Anyone else have trouble sticking with things???
