Wrong Planet = Harbor for haters?

There's a pervading theme of hatred towards NTs for NT intolerance and the like. I can't help but think that in some people's minds, NT is basically code for "Mankind" so I'm guessing that Wrong Planet is a harbor for people who hate people? Is that right?

I profess that I'm of this group and it's probably one of the things I have in common with y'all. This question just came to mind because of this video, which claims the vast majority of autistic people are not haters, but Wrong Planet happens to be a harbor for the autistic people who do hate. And I'd imagine that it'd attract other haters, too.

One common species of hater is women haters in the Love And Relationships section, and many of those guys in there are those who deplore womenkind. So, am I far off the mark in thinking that Wrong Planet attracts misanthropists, neurotypical and autistic misanthropists alike?

I'm not a hater, but I know nothing of the community here and I've only been here a day.

I don't hate people and I'd guess that the majority of people here don't either. Where are all of these people-hating threads that you speak of? I've been around here since January and I really don't get that vibe being on these forums.

This video is a great example of reading too much into things. I can find hateful messages on every forum I have ever used. It's also easy (but a logical failure) to pick the worst examples and say "this is representative of the people who use this website." It is just as easy to either pick or write something that will look scary if you change the words.

The guys in love & dating are just run of the mill misogynists.

I'm full of hate, especially towards weaners to start multiple threads daily to exercise their personal demons and air their dirt laundry, gossiping away like a nanna, due to mainly being bored and destructive

I hate them with such a pure and unadulterated hatred, that sometimes I imagine I never here of them again

the viewpoint of the video's producer surely cuts us all to the quick, IMHO. it reduces a population of over 56,000 users of mixed background to a vast rabble of haters based on a tiny minority of bad actors. just my 2-cents' worth, adjusted for inflation. wrong planet saved my life, and that's a fact!

Yeah, but are those posts representative of the entire WP population? I personally don't think so.

Also, despite the thread title, the replies are usually varied. Not everyone agrees and others qualify their responses. Like..."I only hate it when people do xxxx" or "I only hate some people". Not saying that it's a better way of being, but to me it doesn't seem like true misanthropy.

I'm also full of hate, especially towards weaners that comment in multiple threads to point out these so called personal demons and dirty laundry that don't exist, make accusations of gossiping that never actually happens, falsely interprets the OP's intent and makes accusatory statements, and continuously acts derogatory towards said person. If anything, you're merely jealous of their awesomeness and, predictably, awesome people get a critic or two.

I don't hate NTs. Nor do I think that your examples are indicative of the opinions of the general WP community, whom I happen to believe are mostly tolerant and inclusive of people of all backgrounds, be they NT or Aspie, or whatever.

There is good and bad in all walks of life, whether it be in neurotypical society, or in autistic society, and I can think of just as many threads on other forums discussing how much NTs may hate Aspies. Sentiments which are mostly based on stereotypes, I might add.

You're not born a misanthrope, you become one through experience in dealing with people, and some people on WP have encountered such negativity from the NT community that they lump all NTs in the "Do not want" basket. My own experiences with NTs have also been mostly negative, but I understand that some people are just insipid bigots not worth my time, while others have helped me get from near disability to almost total functionality, so I can't make the generalization that all NTs are bad in light of this.

It's human nature to pigeon-hole archetypes, I guess, but I don't think it's as prevalent here as it is elsewhere on the Internet.

Oh come on! By selecting quotes, one can 'prove' just about any trait one wishes to prove. It's all here somewhere.

People express their frustrations on WP. Many people here seem disenfranchised for various reasons so they express contempt for that. That's why you see so much railing against NTs. It's frustration about the situation.

Everyone seeks validation and acceptance in real life and when these needs are not met anger and resentment can be the result.

Would I call them full fledged haters? No. It doesn't seem strong enough language to be considered hate speech.

If you believe the motive here is jealousy, then certainly you do have a poor theory of mind, sw. I never had ToM issues as to this extreme.
