keep it up. i was always horrible at skateboarding, but had some friends who were good, some of them even went pro, so i did it with them. i was really bad at tricks, and spent most of my time eating pavement. mainly just did it to get around, and watched others. i was exposed to some pretty cool music through skate videos back in the day though.

Honestly I'm impressed! I was no-good on a board, and quit trying when I was about 8 years old. No coordination, I guess. It goes to show that Aspies can have various strong points, and we aren't condemned to not being able to do "normal" stuff

I tried skateboarding as a kid, mostly I guess to fit in, but just never got the hang of it. It was neat, but I just never got beyond like, travelling on the board. I also never had skate shoes, as when I was a kid, skate shoes cost a ton of money (like $50, when my parents were buying me stupid $15 walmart sneakers) so that's probably the reason I never got good at it really. That, and I didn't have the knowledge you do as an adult to meticulously plan and research how to do everything. So I stopped in like...7th grade.

However, now I'm into ice skating and inline skating (only a little for inline, though), specifically figure skating.

I am trying to figure out Bboying and both activities are very related to the hip-hop influence. This is quite motivational. Hope we both manage to stick to it.
