I'm going with 'hypocrite'.

'Useless' is fairly devastating, though.

A ret*d, because it's an insult to a person's intelligence and it's just a very insensitive word to use. I've been called that too many times.

Even though no one's actually used the word on me before, I hate it when people imply that I'm a parasite because I still live at home with my parents. Usually it's other people on the spectrum on this site who think I need to be just like them and be more independent. I feel like saying, "Gee, it's great that you're high functioning enough to be able to live and work independently, but I'm not, so don't put your expectations onto me."

All depends on the context.

A child told constantly by its parents that it is stupid will probably grow up believing it.

Some random stranger calling another random stranger a hypocrite will probably have little effect.

I believe that Idaho Rose has got to the heart of name-calling...she wrote the phrase "your expectations". I think some people don't think other people are 'right' unless everyone mirrors them to some degree...maybe they are somehow unnerved by someone(us?) who does not fit in to what they expect of other people. For them, even though they say the words 'dumb', ' weird', 'ret*d', the worst thing to be must be 'different'.....Sylkat

Parasite is a nasty one. Also, anything that insults peoples intelligence. Not cool.

I would burst out laughing if I was called a Poohead.
