Not all of us lack imagination. I have a great one and loved making up stories when I was younger. I'm even looking forward to the creative short story I need to write in a few weeks to pass my Access course. As far as I was aware it was compulsery to take English GCSE as it is part of the national curriculum unless you attended an additional needs school, then they do it passed more person to person, but anyone in mainstream I'm guessing would have to take it as its a core subject a bit like Maths. We would also like to go to college and uni and even work and now days people require a C in it. Its not that we can't do it, but for some people like myself we just have to work a little hard and reword things to suit us.
