I ride a bike every day to work and college and I absolutely love it. I also love really long road trips either by car or bus/coach. the trouble is though I'm not that interested in the actual destination when I get there. I can't stand planes, there just so boring, there;s no real view and you can't just get off when you've had enough.

I mostly just walk. I don't drive, get carsick, and I can't ride a bike.

Long cross-country Amtrak train rides. I rode the Capitol Limited from Washington, DC to Chicago and the California Zephyr from Chicago to San Francisco.

The conductor on the California Zephyr said that the train "loses", on average, one person per week, or seven one-way trips. The lost people get off at stops in the boonies, wander away from the platform, and get left behind when the train rails off without them.

Airplanes, but I have to be sitting by a window. I like looking out the window. I pretend I'm a god staring down at the puny humans

Bus, subway, and trains (assuming I have a seat, particularly window seat that is). I love riding around looking out the window while listening to my iPod. It's one of the most enjoyable activities I can think of.

Buses, of course! Well, actually only the buses in the certain company that I have an obsession over.

I love the bus as long as nobody invades my space and sits next to me. I can't stand that. It's even worse if the person behind you sneezes and you can feel it on the back of your neck for ages.

Try sitting in some of our cigar case-sized aeroplanes for four hours on a flight to Tenerife! 8O

Walking, but that usually isn't fast enough.

Theoretically, I'd like all the roads to be paved in smooth ice and I would speed skate everywhere ever. Or maybe figure skate depending on the day. Or if I had friends, maybe we could all play hockey/bandy on the way to the supermarket.

Realistic transportation? My Supra, but I'd probably be happy with any Japanese 80s sportscar, especially with a manual transmission. Also, I'd like 400-500hp. So my favorite mode of transport would be sportscar or race car. I've never really tried a motorcycle, so I don't know, that could change in favor of a motorcycle.

Other than that, cycling is very good for shorter distances, and quite relaxing and a good workout and all that. I like inline skating, but compared to ice for me, it's completely deadly of an activity. Once you hit a hill, say your prayers. Yikes.

On my own, walking or skating (roller blades or otherwise). When someone else is doing the driving, car or RV.
