I used to love Sesame Street and my favourite character was The Count. Every time I'm counting I still do the impression of him, it keeps me amused for a while.

The Beetlejuice cartoon. I liked playing pretend with my mom where she would always be Lydia and I would always be Beetlejuice himself. I'm really happy that people keep uploading episodes onto Youtube so I can enjoy the show in the present time. :) I just wish that it would be released on DVD...

At another point in my childhood, I was obsessed with Hamtaro when it aired on Cartoon Network. It aired every weekday morning at 8 and every weekday evening at 5. I absolutely could not miss a single episode. I never did, though I shudder to think of the meltdown I would have had otherwise.

I'm going to have to choose more than one here, because it would be very difficult for me to pick just one kid's show that was my favorite when I was growing up. I grew up mainly in the 1970s, so here are some of my favorites:

Bugs Bunny Road Runner Show
Tom and Jerry/ Droopy
Pink Panther
Captain Kangaroo
Mister Rogers
Land of the Lost
Night Gallery (ok---not a kid's show, but I loved it)

And although I don't really remember it, Mom said I loved to watch Mr. Magoo when I was real little.

Spider Man was my favourite show as a kid. I had to watch it all the time and if I couldn't watch it, I had a meltdown that lasted 5 minutes. After a month of this due to not having cable, my parents decided to get cable so I could watch Spider Man.

I grew up during the golden age of British kids TV. My favourite show was Ivor the Engine and I liked Bagpuss, Mr Ben, Trumpton, Paddington, Jamie & The Magic Torch, Chortlton & The Wheelies, Button Moon and loads more. They can all be seen on YouTube and my daughter loves checking them out.

I can't really answer directly for my whole childhood, so I'll break it down into categories:

I wasn't allowed to watch TV until I was about 5, as it was said to be white-trashy to watch TV before learning to read (not my theory; my family's).

My favorite Saturday morning caroon: The Superfriends (Superman/Batman/Wonderwoman, etc) 1973-75? It was the 1-hour version, and the first series of 2 or 3 (the latter weren't any good to me).

My favorite TV series was The Six Million Dollar Man when it was on first run.

After about age 18, I had no favorite show, and would only watch the news sometimes, or specials. No sports or TV show series. Not interested. I haven't watched a regular TV show in 20 years.
