.So anyone good with cellphones here? Mine is about to die and I can borrow my uncles (he have just been to America and his cellphone broke there so hew bought a new one who wasn't good so he bought a new one again here in Sweden). But to the point. The America-bought one I can borrow are "locked" for at&t and he talked to someone who said that with a code (that you could find on the net) you could unlock the phone so that you can have any sim-card in it. Anyone who know how I can do that?

The codes tend to be unique to the phone. Here, almost all phones are subsidized phones, and locked to a carrier (usually tied to a 2 year contract). Usually, by contacting the carrier, you can acquire the code to remove the sim lock, if the contract timeframe has expired. This prevents people from getting a subsidized phone (often as cheep as free) from one carrier, canceling service, and using the phone with a sim from another GSM carrier.

There is no contract to this phone since he bought it in America but lives in Sweden, so he bought one without a contract.
Ok, here mosts are unlocked and if they are locked you can unlock them almost everywhere.
