I dont know if a subject like this was already made but i dont care.Anyone here wanted to form a rock band for any reason mine are:
1.to make millions of dollars.
2.to prove i'm better than the people that teased me.

If so state your reasons i'm thinking about it because of what i stated above.

Hello, I write and perform my own songs. Though I don't care about money when it comes to art. I beleive art is away to express one's self.

I written songs like

I'm A I.D.I.O.T. (About this guy that doesn't mind being called an Idiot and he's too busy thinking possitive)

Groovy (Retro 60s love song)

Where in war or War is heck (Anti-war song)

Georgie, Georgie, Georgie (retro 60s / anti-bush song)

and

We wear no watches (a poke on adverage teens not wearing watches and being too busy being show offs then being organized. )

Most of these songs will be used on my show coming up.

It's on YouTube.com and search "The Eric Crooks Show"

What kind of music do you play?

Good Luck with everything.

_Eric ;)

I write vocals. but sadly I have no music or band, it's just me and my vocals. I'm beginning to learn how to play the drums and once mastered that I might have a unique type of music, where I'm a one piece band who sings with the only music in the background as the drums.

I'm thinking on writing 10 songs, I just gots to write them. The so called "Album" remains untitled as it's a working progress.

I've wrote 2 songs out of 10

Bangs + Crashes = The title of the song represents a man trying to deal with stress as it crashes and shakes in his mind. The more time he leaves it and not deals with it, the louder and more annoying it gets.

Rain = Basically a person's sadness related to the rain. This person's sadness in the song is based around bereavement.

Why start a rock band?

Hmmmmm...

So I could stand on a stage with my closest friends in the whole world and just feel the chemistry - to get totally, totally engulfed in sound - to feel the bass rumbling through my chest and the drum-beat pounding up through my boots - to experience the adrenaline rush of playing live, knowing it could go wrong at any time (but it never does) - to articulate my feelings in a way that's impossible with words: straight from heart to amp, brain bypassed - to cleanse my soul through fuzz, distortion and sweat - to grin like a Cheshire Cat - to make a few ears bleed - and to look out over an audience and know that they feel the same.

To get locked into a killer riff and just kick it again and again and again....

8O

What he said.
It just feels good to be able to play music, especially when it's your own (although I'm still struggling to get something down on paper/notes).
