I had been a super awesome obsessive fan of theirs for seven years.
I had shutdown over it, still having it. Can't make food, don't care if I starve.
I only want to find my shirt of theirs I lost today also.
I'm sad that I lost my shirt and I'm sad they broke up.

I wrote a blog about them but no one seems to care. Not even my friend who always comments. I hope it's not that bad.
I've had seizures for the last three days, my brain is a bit fried. I struggled to write why the band meant so much to me.

I'm sad. I don't like my town. I'm sad.
I'm even listening to Thursday and can't feel anything. So sad.
Though my emotions are becoming a bit blunted.

I'm sorry about them breaking up - at least they're just on hiatus, right? I definitely think they'll play together again in the future. Still, even though I'm just a casual Thursday fan, I know how much it sucks when a band you love breaks up.

I'm sorry :(

I saw them play in Chicago a while back, great band. I still have a shirt too!

Take time to for your loss. You will feel better in time, but it is okay to be sad about it. When you feel up for some music recommendations, I have lots! :)

They're playing final shows and a final tour luckily in Australia. But after that they could be gone for good. They didn't say anything about indefinite hiatus like Blink 182. Man, that lasted a long while.

I can sympathize. I have a favorite band too that I am obsessed with.
If that band broke up I would feel the same way. I would have panic attacks and feel like crap.
I wish I could give you some advice but I would be completely insane.
I have heard Thursday before. I have one of their earlier albums called "Full Collapse".
I hope you can feel an emotional connection again while listening to the band.

It was the autismic reaction to the news that made me post it here.

Thursday?! THE Thurday?! Lead singer by the name of Ricky Geoff? F**k no... this can't be happening... I have ALL OF THEIR ALBUMS!! ! Waiting, Full Collaps, War All The Time, A City By The Light Divided, Kill The House Lights, Common Existence, Thursday/Envy, No Devolucion. They are my favorite band of all time! I never knew anybody else listened to their music as much as I do. Sorry if my typing is off, small tears are forming at corners of my eyes... my hnds are shaking. They were on on their last stretch of their Austrailia tour, right? After I've been listening to them for 13 years... this news hurts. BAD. FML.

This was pretty much my reaction except with more swearing.
The Australian tour wasn't announced until today. So glad they're going through with it. Me and my friend missed them at Soundwave (we didn't go) and if they just broke up and didn't come back I think all those late night drunken proclamations of 'if this band breaks up I'd probably kill myself' would become a reality. Well, maybe not that bad but I'd be really upset. I think it's this last tour that has calmed me down.

Here, I wrote this:
http://latedx.wordpress.com/2011/11/23/ ... -everyday/

And there are some photos I took of them at the two shows I went to back in 2008.

I think I was still very upset or brainf***ed to properly explain what the songs meant to me. It's kind of like a little remembrance blog post, with pictures.

I think I focused too much on War All the Time it being the bestest album in the Universe. I love all their other albums too. They're all special in different ways. I used to rarely listen to them so they could stay a rare special treat. I've played Kill the House Lights and No Devolucion on repeat today.

They... Thursday wants to thank us for being fans. thursday.net/thank-you I too used to have one of the band's shirts. Found it in a thrift store. That was like in 2004. With their eagle insignia or whatever it is on the album art of War All The Time. War All The Time... truly incredible songs in just that one album alone. Division St. and Signals Over The Air and Marches and Manuevers I must've listened to for hours upon hours. But really the rest of the album is so goddamn magical, everytime I'm feeling depressed I listen to it and feel like Ricky f**ing gets me, gets my problems... I dunno. I'm angry and bitter and heartbroken and going to bed to calm down. Good night.

The white dove. I've got a hoodie and a shirt underneath that on right now with the dove of both of them.
Thanks for the link. I can finally access the thank you page.
I know I've been upset over it but it still doesn't feel real. I suppose after the shows it will be.
I'm going to go check out the Australian music sites and see if they will be interviewed on Short.Fast. Loud tonight. Seems like something they'd do.
