I'll be your friend I want to know more MI creative people too. I have SA and AS. Sometimes my uniqueness makes me feel c l and sometimes I want to jump off a bridge. I don't though because I use art to distract myself from that kind of thinking. I have been told that I am extremely gifted and that I have abilities that greatly exceed people my age group the irony is that my mental functioning can go from being amazing to almost nonexistent. I'm not talking about mania I barely get that ever. I'm unlucky in the sense that I was born with a high capacity for a high IQ but negative symptoms along with my learning disabilities make it impossible for me to have guaranteed consistency with my cognitive functioning. So the people who think I'm incredible and gifted are the ones who hardly ever see me during episodes with cognitive decline.
I have several artistic hobbies
-creative writing
-drawing
-painting
-sewing
-designing clothing
-sculpting
-making jewelry
-digital art/photography
-writing about human rights
I don't have a lot of my artwork posted yet but this link to my facebook has costumes I've made from various shows and video games I like. I also performed digital enhancements to them.
http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... c81ca0ff6f I noticed that I gravitate to media that portrays interesting characters that seem to have MIs whether its mentioned or not.

I would love to have you join the gallery, but we will need more people to make it successful. The domain I have licensed for the gallery is schizart.com
Here is a link to my work, which of course I will be transferring over to the gallery.
Your artwork is the kind that's popular for CDs covers music is very emotional.
at least the music I listen to is. A lot of the artists I listen to I often wonder if some of them are BP but I know a lot are

Wel,, keep your fingers crossed that we can get a good group of people together for a gallery. I will start working on the site tonight. Put the word out yourself, so that others will know, I need help with this lol.
For your gallery what about some articles/links to multimedia that portrays mental illness in a creative/understanding light, Maybe dedicate some articles to famous artists with MIs to educate people I know some historical people who influenced the art world greatly.

Even though I may be the founder of the gallery, it wont be "Mine". I am open to suggestions on how to make it a great resource as well as a art display.
Along with posting artwork I think an educational blog on new/old art that was done by or portrays MIs well would be cool.
I know several video games, lots of musicians, authors, artists in general it'd be cool.

Start writing because I am going to have to get this setup . At least I have one person who is interested. Thank you so much, it is cool to know someone else would like to do this.
Well for most of my life I've been heavily exposed to artwork so I have a great deal of knowledge one of my actual gifts. When I am functioning ok I can write a lot of cool stuff, I'm very experienced in the field of art in general.
How about art related subsections for the archives? I've never made a site before so I don't have whole lot of knowledge. I'll definitely keep an eye on it though and I'll send you some stuff. I think it'll start slow but once people discover the site you'll get lots of cool stuff
