I'm wondering if anyone has some good ideas for fun things to do in the bath. My son is 10 and likes math, science and funny noises. He likes to take "shower baths" so musical toys aren't really an option.

My 10 yo son likes rocks (because they change color in the water). I just say they have to be big enough not to accidentally go down the drain. He has also taken cork tops from wine/champagne bottles into the bath. He has tried cardboard tubes and paper boats (very carefully colored with wax crayons to stop the water) into the bath (total mess). We also have these plastic beakers and I buy the soap samplers of different colors and types. He is always "testing" the bubbles/color mixes et cetera. He also likes the play shark, submarine with diver man and octopus and plays out discovery channel stuff. Usually ending in a lot of yelling "help" and dead diver man. If you find something great, let me know. BTW, they do make waterproof radios for the shower.

Would he too old for those crayons made specifically for the bath, so you can write on the side of the tub (You would have to check if OK for your tile)? If he likes math and science he could draw science diagrams and do math equations.

He hasn't had those in a long time, but I wouldn't be surprised if he would enjoy them again. He loves his whiteboard.

My 7 year old takes a shower/bath also. Anything without metal is fair game at our house. He loves legos (just not ones tiny enough to go down the drain), army men, playmobil toys and magnets.
