I'm one of these people who enjoy Valentines Day. My Dog, Chico and I do some extra cuddling, and than I watch a Romance Movie, than I admire the Austin Powers standee that's standing in my Bedroom. As a Valentines Day Present to my Parents, I'm going to start cleaning the House, when my Dad leaves at 8:00 AM. I'm going to clean as fast as I can, and I'll see how much I can get done, by the time that my Mom gets home from her shift at McDonald's at 10:30 AM. That will be my way of telling my Parents that I love them. I also buy some things for a couple of my friends at my Clubhouse. I also have thoughts about my Sister and her Boyfriend getting all nice and cozy in their Bed as I drift off to sleep in my own Bed. Than I have dreams that I'm getting cozy with Austin Powers and we're both wearing our Glasses in Bed :P

I'm so apathetic about V-Day that I usually don't even remember what date it is... like that time I called up my parents on July 6 and asked them "So what are you doing for the Fourth of July?"

Was that even worth posting? The topic of this thread was 'lets hear from the people who enjoy Valentines Day' I believe.

Complete apathy does seem like enjoyment compared to the intense Valentiphobia around here.

While Valentine's Day has almost always been a painful, lonely experience for me, I can't say that I truly hate it. Not like I did in high school, at least. I do have a valentine, for once--my best friend Perry. He is the "love of my life" right now LoL, in a manner of speaking...and to be honest, I couldn't think of anyone else with whom I'd rather spend Valentine's Day. :)

I hope you have a great day Cockney rebel :D Have fun with Austin Powers

I like an excuse to show the people in my life how much I care about them. I don't like the commercial aspect of it- I don't think you need to spend money to show someone you care.

I hope all those people who feel bad because they are alone today realise that there is people who care about them (even if thats in a platonic way) there is more to life that having someone to buy you flowers  :D

Oh shoot, but I like flowers! Of course time with my family is what makes today most special, nothing to do with romance. :)

Funny how much I still like flowers, Ron still never gets me any... in his mind they are a waste, they die not long after anyways. Some men.

Dunc gets me flowers from time to time- I love it that he doesn't do it because its a 'set' day to buy your wife flowers (like today), instead he just suprises me with them :D I usually dry the flower petels once the flowers have died and something that looks beautiful is never a waste even if it doesn't last very long.

Yeah I love the smell of dried flowers. Of course, I got to figure out someday how to prune that rose bush in front of our house, I've never taken care of one before so scared I'll kill it. Yeah Ron's definitely not a romantic type. Often he'll just give me money to get myself something. Just with every Christmas, I know what I'm getting, I'm the one that buys it with money he gives me. I think it's the thought that would be nice if he listened sometimes a little more to things I like and be spontaneous and surprised me a little. :)

Happy belated Valentine's day CockneyRebel!! I enjoy Valentine's day , too. although I think I'll like it more when I have someone to enjoy it with!! I don't really like the commercialization(not that I wouldn't like flowers or chocolate) but a homemade card, my guy and me doing something special together, I would think a very good way to celebrate. Incidentally, I LOVE flowers, LOL I know the Victorian language of flowers and I enjoy putting sayings together. What would your idea of a good Valentine's day be, CockneyRebel?

My idea of a perfect Valentines Day would be a nice Candlelit Dinner with Mr. Right, and than a play, afterwords. Something along the lines of Kiss Me Kate, or South Pacific, and than a Bottle of Wine back at Mr. Right's place with the lights dimmed and Bachelor Music playing in the Background. Maybe a little Shag to end the day. :P
