Cannot get Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit themes to work!

I am getting really annoyed with this for some reason I cannot understand the themes for my system refuse to work at all I have no idea what or why it is happening as it worked completely fine on my old 32 bit computer but not on this it's 64bit and all do any of you know what causes this to hapen and that is not just me who has this issue I have looked on various soruces on the internet but none so far seem to have a working fix...any ideas?

It helps if you can clarify in what ways you are having problems. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit at home and had no issue with customizing the theme, but your options are noticeably different from what you get with Windows XP, and your choices can be more of a subtle change than a drastic one.

I didn't like any of the pre-set options I could choose from. I decided to make my own...not straying to far from the default settings.

I have had Windows 7 disable certain display options when a system's architecture could not support them.
