I try to deny that I have Asperger's most of the time, but it shows. I always say just enough bizarre things to lose friends and create enemies, both in real life and online---on the last forum I was an active member of, I was literally the victim of a smear campaign by a jealous and popular friend of someone I went on a date with. Part of that was making a humorous spectacle of my Asperger's at any opportunity, to which maybe one or two people voiced meek objection, then were silenced.
There are more people, online and in real life, who hate me than who look at me with any modicum of respect. While not blaming my Asperger's entirely for that, I'm at a loss. I figure that at least I won't be bullied here.
Welcome. Anybody who would make fun of the infirmities of others isn't worth the time of day. The way I look at things, most people who would do such a thing aren't very intelligent; I actually feel sorry for them. They take their beatings throughout life, but in a different way from us.
