I don't have any social network accounts of ANY kind. The world has no business butting into my personal life, and I have no truly great accomplishments to share with the world. Any one I want to keep in touch with I either email, or talk to on the phone. Because of this I never have to worry about social network issues. When I get spam mails, or malware mails, I block or filter them out.
This attitude works with addictive substances, too. I don't do 'em, so I don't have the problems that come with 'em. And ya know what? I don't miss the drugs, booze, gambling, etc., that I never did, one bit! I don't miss the social network sites I never signed up with, either! I have plenty of stuff to keep me occupied without all of those other things.
If you don't want social network problems, just delete any accounts you have. Do send a note to any real friends and relatives who had been keeping in touch with you that way, though, and give them an email address they can use to reach you.
Remember, we on the spectrum are all:
A Different Drummer
If a man does not keep pace with his companions,
Perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer.
Let him step to the music which he hears,
However measured or far away.
--Henry David Thoreau
