Simon & Garfukle-"I am a rock"
Angel Faith-"Just the way I am"
Britney Spears-"What you see is what you get"
3 Doors Down- "Let me be myself"
Eminem-"Beautiful"
Lifehouse-"Quazimodo
Goo Goo Dolls-"Iris"
Electrasy-"Cosmic Castaway"
Eminem & Lil Wane-"Drop the World"
Ziggy Marley-"True to myself"

That's all I can think of right now. Maybe a mod can stickify this.

This is a bit more specific as it is Aspergers and not Autism in general.

MagicMeerkat... I'm sorry but none of those songs are about autism.

If you're listing "Songs people with Autism can relate to", then yes, I would agree with that list.

But these are not "Songs about being Autistic"

There are a few songs about autism listed in this thread

That's basicaly what I meant. I'm not really good at wording things. Thanks for clearing this up. Sorry for the confusion. I thought of some more by the way:

"Reach for the Stars" by Crush 40
"Nice to Meet You Anyway" by Gavin Degraw

"I Will Not Bow" by Breaking Benjamin
"Alien Skin" by Alien Skin

I just found some more:
"All I want is a life" by Tim McGraw
"Open Season on my Heart" by Tim McGraw
"Just Like You" by 3 Days Grace
"I want to tak about me" by Toby Keith
"Creep" by Radio Head
"Love is Hell" by Theory of a Deadman (this song applies to casual friendship as well)

Pink Floyd's "Brain Damage/Eclipse" reminds me of how I felt when I was nine years old and in the mental hospital and had no idea why I was there but everyone wanted to fix me and was making me feel like my problems (mostly with bullying) were my fault.

Ever since I first heard, Tim McGraw's "The Cowboy in Me", I thought it could be about autism if you replace "cowboy" with autism or "aspie" or even ADHD or bipolar...perhaps cowboy is just a metaphore. I used to listen to a lot of country music as a teenager. Mostly because my brothers did. I somehow accidently discovered Eminem and octane rock and finnaly started finding songs I could actually idenify with. I've never come across a country song about the intense frustration and anger I felt or loosing touch with reality because you are so frustrated.

I'm pretty sure "Vision Valley" by The Vines is about Craig Nichols' AS dignosis, but that's still speculation.

There is no link but both of Dan Bull's album often show life as someone with an ASD. Most obviously "Portrait of the Autist". He has released both his albums for free from these links and they're amazing :)

Oasis - Flashbax has a bit of it in my opinion, if I don't take the obvious example of someone who I think IS Aspie.

Lyrics:
I spend my time sitting on the fence with a mate of mine
Trying to write the line of a story
We belive that everything said is a waste of time
Cos life is well tried and it bores me
Yeah yeah yeah

In my well paid opinion
These things they really don't matter
But from my crystal gazing eye
There shines a light, like dynamite

Sitting on a throne will give a bad back to you
Living on my own was like a flashback
To the days when I was lost and lonely
Saying what I said was just a different story
All your lies well they still bore me
There's nothing wrong with my world
And these things they really don't matter now

I spend my time sitting on the fence with a mate of mine
I'm trying to write the line of a story
We belive that everything said is a waste of time
Cos life is well tried and it bores me
Yeah yeah yeah

In my well paid opinion
These things they really don't matter
But from my crystal gazing eye
There shines a light, like dynamite

Sitting on a throne will give a bad back to you
Living on my own was like a flashback
To the days when I was lost and lonely
Saying what I said was just a different story
All your lies well they still bore me
There's nothing wrong with my world
And these things they really don't matter
These things they really don't matter now

Oasis had really comforted me when I was a teenager. When I think about it, quite a few of the lyrics on Definitely Maybe (their 1994 debut) apply too.
