I don't get what this well wishing nonsense is about. It's another year...so what?

I'm just grumpy because it's all I've heard today and I really don't care about it at all.
I heard the fireworks outside and became more interested in all the stars that were out.

And what's with this doof doof music I keep hearing? We're in Sydney, try to have some better taste.

it is already 2012 here. the fireworks terrified my kids. it woke them up and they were screaming smaug was attacking. i hope the year gets better from here.
