Ok, so what games are best for online or offline play? which do you perfer? who plays online?

personaliy I like playing Uncharted 3 online. becuase I enjoy the team deathmatch better then story mode.
I enjoy Transformers DOTM play online conquest modes.
then I perfer to play fighting games like marvel vs capcom offline.

anyone play battelfield 1943 ? I'll admit I'm terrible at that game... but it's still an alright game. not sure if it was worth 10 bucks.
who plays racing games online? like NFS The Run ? or Midnight club Los angeles? I usauly play Midnight club offline.

also I'm just curious, who plays PS1 classics?

I recently bought Crash bandicoot and Crash Team Racing
as well as Twisted metal 2

I don't play online anymore, but did loads for a while on XBL, back when Gears of War and the first Modern warfare were ruling the roost, I joined a group of older gamers and it was a blast, but just jumping into random games was met with torrents of abuse and endless deaths.

I don't play the PS1 classics (they don't have the ones I want), but they do have a few PS2 HD remasters that I play. Last one I bought was Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath.

As for any ps1/ps2 games that aren't available, I just download them and play them on my computer.

I never used to play online games but lately I've been interested in Modern Warfare 3 and Dead Nation. Dead Nation requires you to know someone willing to spend hours playing through the campaign with you but it can be fun nonetheless..

Ok, for PS1, you can and should try most of the Final Fantasies, Spyroes, Crash Bandicoots, Twisted Metal 3 & 4. And if you EVER played Chrono Trigger (which every self-respecting video game player should at the very least know about), there is a sequel called Chrono Cross, with TONS of characters (but very few double and triple techs, sadly) and different endings. :P

(Assuming you like RPGs)

Grandia 1 is also not bad and will last you quite some time. :P Tomba 2 is also not bad. :o

Legend of dragoon. You MUST play this. :P Saga frontier 1 and 2. <.< Wild ARMS 2 <- Darn good. Legend of Mana, good but meh... Dragon Warrior 7, VERY LONG game. <.<

About it for now. :p

if i could play all my games offline without my system bugging me i would.

nfs the run is the worst when it comes to the 'you are not connected to the net popups' but besides i only ever play solo, with the exception of npc team members.

One game everyone should play here: Valkyria Chronicles...it is so amazing and I have talked to some people in some Drop In groups about it and they were very impressed!

if it is an mmo i won't bother, i don't touch those with a ten foot pole. i don't know much other then it is challenging and one character looks like kosmos.

I'm not strong on PS3 games, but two PSX classics I'd recommend are Future Cop L.A.P.D and Tombi! :)

as a ps3 owner i have to agree for a PlayStation system it really doesn't have a good library of game like the past consoles did. there are good games but not much variety overall.

ps2 still stands as my fav console, it sucks because the ps3 has so much potential. and it seems to be mostly wasted. course most the games are weird and freaky.

So much nostalgia. Future Cop was amazing. I used to play it a lot with my brother before he became an as*hole and decided he was too old for videogames (except the new call of duty, naturally).

Tomba was excellent. Tomba 2 was a little weird, in 3D, but also excellent. Unfortunately PSN doesn't seem to have it. Unbelievable. May have to look into emulation.
