I'm not much of a sports fan, but it'd be nice to develop an interest for them (which is really hard) so I could have more things in common or to talk about with other people..

Are you talking about watching sports or actually participating in them? I don't do much of either, although I would like to participate in a few--but the weather here in Houston never cooperates.

I don't like sports. More accurately, I hate them. I remember trying to develop an interest for them years ago, but eventually I realized what I was doing was stupid.

Far as I know, I'm New York's only sports non-fan. Yanks or Mets? Neither. Jets or Giants? Nope. But I do find myself taking an interest in UFC, surprisingly.

I'm with you. I detest most sports: especially team sports. I do, however, enjoy watching horses... so I like equestrian events such as horse racing and steeplechase. I also love to watch ice skating and ballroom dance competitions, but I'm too clumsy to ever hope I might DO either one.

As far as participating in sports... not me. I don't even enjoy GAMES. If I'm going to play, it'll be music.

I have very little interest in any sport.

I used to try and fake it, or find a genuine interest, but it's really not there.
Being able to call myself a football supporter seemed important when at school, as part of trying to "be normal".

No sport gets anywhere near the pleasure that a good book can deliver.

I never liked sports due to my clumsiness at school sports and phys ed. This also led to the 'jocks' in High School concluding I must be a 'fag' because I didn't like sports. Ah, the good old days.... My wife enjoys watching the Pitts Steelers play, but football to me is the dumbest thing ever. As George Carlin said, the purpose is to knock down the other guy, and take his land away from him. Very American. Hockey moves too fast for me to follow, as does Basketball. My patient (as in waiting for me to get a clue) wife has managed to get me interested in Baseball. It moves slowly, has simple rules, and one guy can change the outcome of the whole game. I can't play it because of vision problems and a bad back, but I do like to watch.

I hate playing sports and I hate watching sports. Most repetitive and boring thing ever created. And people have the nerve to say that Aspies like repetitive and boring things...

I enjoy playing baseball, volleyball, and tennis, although I hate watching professional sports. In high school I always played those sports with friends and had a great time doing it, so my positive experiences with them allow me to continue to enjoy and look forward to playing those things.

I don't consider myself very good at those things, but I have fun nonetheless and don't take those games seriously. :)

Yeah, I don't like them for the most part either. I like martial arts, but those are something kind of different.

Hmmn, I always find it very difficult when I'm asked "what team I go for"

Its always hard to explain I dont find much interest in any sports involving watching men run around putting a ball in a certain hole, or between two sticks.. hmmn..

Martial arts intrigue me however, more specifically wing chun.

Football and soccer I could care less about. Same for baseball, basketball, NASCAR, golf, tennis, cricket, and so on.
Hockey I've grown to like, and I'm a Canucks fan by default.
Love martial arts deeply, love cycling, used to like skiing and snowboarding but these days my knees really let me know they're not having a good time. Still like to watch it on the Olympics tho.
Sportswise I'm mostly about motorsport. Formula 1, World Rally Championship, FIA-GT, DTM, Paris-Dakar, LeMans... anything but oval tracks. Bo-ring.

I enjoy watching ice skating, swimming and certain other sports. I have been taking a class in karate and really enjoy it and used to swim competitively, but don't anymore.
