Thought it was about time I said Hello after joining up.....ages ago.

I have a 10yr old daughter with autism (Ed Psychologist diagnosed Asperger's) Myself, I have had problems since being little and my youngest daughter I am not sure about but don't want to go down that road yet.
I currently can't work due to my daughters situation at school, only being there part time. So when I do get spare time I love to do craft work, paint and buy/sell on eBay. I'm also doing a course at home, well two actually since it was buy one get one free. I am looking to study Abnormal psychology as I would like to be a counsellor for people with mental health problems and it helps that I have experience myself (with depression) As I side course I love anything to do with myths so I am doing a course on Man, myth and magic.

I think that tells a little bit about myself.. I look forward to talking to people on here. :)

Welcome to WP! :)

The ending of your post made me remember the book Is Man a Myth?, which was on Mr. Tumnus' shelf in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. :D

Cheshire? I was down that way a couple of times last year and visited Chester (and had a pint in that pub) as well as picking up some amazing apple juice. :)

I like living here (moved back 2yrs ago) but as much as I love Cheshire some of the people tend to have their heads placed firmly up their bums.
They have amazing apple juice? :chin: where's that from then.

Oh, I certainly did get that impression when I have been there. :)

Heard of a place called WIllington Fruit Farm, just outside Willington? There.

Photos:

Taken last year at the Apple & Fruit Weekend at Beetham Nurseries in south Cumbria which is where I first experienced the apple juice - must pop down for some more soon:

Are you married or single? You don't seem to be doing too badly for yourself if you can keep it together as much as you seem to be doing. :)

Thank you for your lovely welcomes :)

Must admit Tequila I have never heard Willington and it's only 20 minutes away from me...mmm think I might give good ole dad a ring later (I hate not being able to drive sometimes) and see if he would like a trip down there. I love apple juice so have to give it a try. :D

Don't bother with their cider though - it's rank. They do all different varieties of apple juice. Not cheap, though - around £1.80 for a 70cl bottle I think. It's a little farm shop in the middle of nowhere.

Thanks Alex for your welcome :D

Sorry Tequila, I have just seen your question at the bottom of the apple juice photos. No I am not married any more due to certain reasons I split up from my husband. Myself and my children are happier for it though. Thank you so much for your kind comment.

I told my parents about the apple juice, on the way back from their shopping they surprised me with two bottles :D I got one called Discovery and Cox's orange pippin

I'm very chuffed to hear you managed to source some! Please keep me posted on what you think of them both! Stick them in the fridge, though. ;)

Some of them are quite dry, others are very sweet. As I said, it's a farm shop that sells all kinds of fruit and veg too. :)

Glad to hear you are leading a happier life now. How old are your kids? If you have problems with your 10 year old daughter's schooling have you considered simply cutting your losses and home educating her? It's still legal to do this in the UK and you can do it at long as you're a smart and assertive woman that won't take any nonsense from the local authorities. As an aside, I was home educated from the age of ten onwards. :)

What's public transport like where you are? It's a pity we're not like mainland Europe in that sense - public transport in a lot of Britain is, erm, a little bit dire.

Anyway, I suspect I'm probably exhausting this convo a wee bit. ;)
