I signed up for Aspie Affection and found a girl on there that lived close by and was active about a month ago. I did a little internet detective research and found her Myspace and then eventually her Facebook. I sent her a very polite message about my process and that I thought she would be an interesting person to talk to. I also told her that if she didn't want to talk I wouldn't bother her again.

I know this is pretty hardcore creeper status, but I was just that intrigued. Would this put you off if someone did this to you? I sure know it would be easy for someone to do it to me considering I use the same SN for damn near everything. Oh well, I guess all I have to do now is wait. It would be interesting to meet a local Aspie. I've never met another one (knowingly) in person. (And yes I know that is jumping the gun on things quite a bit, but it still holds true.)

Well it would freak ME out a bit. I that is only because I was stalked relentlessly in real life by an ex in the past. It was scary but I guess it can happen to anyone.
As far as the internet goes I never use the same SN for anything and usually keep my pages private if its an option.
This girl may not have an issue with you looking her up.
I like you signature quote btw.

It isn't something I would normally do. She had an account on here to but never posted anything. I have been called a stalker before but have never done anything remotely stalkery, this excluded lol.

Thank you, it is my life's greatest conundrum.

Well I hope she does end up contacting you. If I hadn't had that bad experience with my ex I would not mind if someone found my pages like you found hers.

Its a bit weird. It isn't really that bad but with young girls today all you have to do is look at them the wrong way to be branded a creep.

Did you try talking to her on aspie affection first?

I sent hera message, but considering how terrible that site is I doubted that she would ever get on there again. I probably won't.

Would not call that creepy or stalkerish.
You should not be labeled as such because somebody chose to reveal that degree of information.

Instantly revealing the processes for your 'stalkerism' to them might be taken as concerning if you are regarding finding this person as stalking to yourself.

Personally I would be flattered that someone took the time to track me down, but that's just me.

I agree. A lot of it depends on the lengths you went to get the information, and how much time you spent doing it.

You not alone cause I did some googling an was able to find someone's real name, etc. I did not contact them though cause allowing them to sleep at night seemed more important than my fancy for them.LOL.

When was the last time she was online here? People can lurk for years and not post. Did you send a pm from here? That may have been safer. However way, you at least took the action to communicate your interest and that should be pleasing to you.

Generally speaking, the rule is that you should only use the information she gave you to make contact. If, for example,m a girl gave me her email address so I could message her on YIM, no problem. But if her email contains her last name, and I look up that name in the white pages and get her home phone, that doesn't mean I'm free to call her, because SHE didn't give me the number yet. A lot of people either don't know or forget just how easy it is to find out info about a person, and if you find out more than they MEANT you to know, you're a 'stalker'. Sorry, their world, their rules.

I don't think it's a bad thing. You used information anybody could access to find her. I think she'll understand and maybe even be a bit flattered that you were interested in her enough to make an effort to find her.

Well I left my email and SN on AA so I could never loog onto that abomination again.

And she did message me back. It was a short message simply asking me if I liked her main interest, a show. I've addmitedly never seen a full episode, but I wouldn't mind. XD

XD

We're chatting it up now. she asked me where I lived and everything, apparently shes within 15 minnutes of where I live.

I've never really talked to another Aspie (especially a girl) before. I'm just keeping it light and focusing on her interests.
