I will admit I didn't for the longest time but I'm trying to get into the habit of doing so now. It's just annoying when your gums bleed :( but it rarely happens now I get through it.

I brush my teeth sometimes as well as flossing.

I didn't floss until about two years ago. It's the sort of small, tedious chore that I hate to do. But I've finally made it a nightly routine.

I don't floss my whole mouth frequently like a dentist would advise to :?

But I can't handle the feeling of food being stuck between my teeth :?. So I have floss near me when I eat at home, and when out in the world, if it happens and I feel like it's going to make me freak out >_>... I go to the bathroom, rip out some hair and us that :|

A perk to having long hair

I do a pretty thorough job. I brush my teeth, gums, roof and bottom of my mouth, and tongue, then floss, then rinse with mouthwash. It takes me nearly 20 minutes total. I try to make up for the fact that I don't brush more than once a day by doing a damn good job the one time.

I floss daily. If you don't floss regularly, you can start to lose your teeth as early as your 40's! I'd rather deal with a little bit of discomfort than having a gross mouth.

I can't start and finish my day without flossing thoroughly followed by brushing then using Listerine. I am very serious about my dental hygiene.

Also if you floss regularly your gums will stop bleeding every time.

I read somewhere that you have 48 hours before plaque becomes tartar and something like a week before the tartar becomes fossilized into calculus

I didn't use to, but I got a floss-holder-thing which enables me to reach better, making flossing a whole lot easier. Now I floss daily.

I brush very thoroughly twice/day, but I don't floss. Two dentists told me I'm the exception to the rule, as I have an enamel disease which flossing will aggravate. For a very short time in the mid-1960s in Germany, they were giving pregnant women injections of fluoride, and my mother was among them. As a result, all of my baby teeth had to be surgically removed, as the roots would not dissolve the way they are supposed to. Additionally, my adult teeth came in with faulty enamel, which flakes off like donut glaze icing. I have all fakes now in the front (needed those before I was out of high school), but I've never had a cavity at least. If I were to floss, it would just pull any remaining enamel off of the roots, and cause the tooth to hurt and need pulling.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one that uses their own hair as dental floss.

I never floss. I just sometimes use a hair if something is stuck in there and I can't get it out with a toothpick.

I don't use mouthwash. If I did I'd have to be careful about what I buy since I don't like the taste of mint or of Listerine.

I'm lucky if I can even remember to brush my teeth once a day.

So far I had 6 teeth pulled. Two were wisdom teeth though. I have one that needs to be pulled now.

I only floss when I have something stuck in my teeth. I brush everyday, though.
