Techincally, I'd say it's a coliseum. It could be called an amphitheater, but it has no bandstand or shell, so I don't think it technically can be an amphitheater.

Technically a coliseum is an elliptical amphitheatre, The Coliseum of Rome originally called the Flavian Amphitheatre is an elliptical amphitheatre.

The word amphitheatre derives from the ancient Greek ἀμφιθέατρον (amphitheatron) and Latin amphitheatrum for double theatre, "theatre all around", & circular theatre.
