Hi everybody, I'm a girl, just turned 30 and I'm really not sure of what to say here..

I'm really bad at small talk and always afraid I say something weird

I just found out I have Asperger (after many year of therapy), but it's not official yet. Working on that, though.

In this forum I hope to find more information, useful tips and maybe some people to talk with if I dare

Thank you for reading this :)

Hey McCat welcome aboard. I've been to Amsterdam a few times, so I'm not really qualified to comment on Holland in the slightest, but I did have a really good time and the buildings are beautiful, as are the Eastern Euro prostitues and I love eating huge cones of fries/chips with mayonnaise and curry sauce. You guys also have the best Fanta.

Wow - that's nice and random! :)

Whereabouts would you recommend visiting in the Netherlands OP? I live in the UK, so I can get flights to your country quite easily.

I was joking, most of them in the Red Light are munters.
I wouldn't recommend Amsterdam by night, it's full of weirdos. We've been followed loads of times.

Amsterdam is really different from the rest of the country. In my opinion that is ;)

I only go there every 3 years or so to go to a concert.

You should go more to the east of the country. Beautiful nature, old buildings, lovely cities. But of course it's all about what you would like to see when in a different country

Greetings, McCat. I lived in the Hague in the early '70s for about a year, still have extended family there and in Belgium. I've been wanting to get back ever since, but haven't managed it. I also did some bike touring around Amersfoort and east. As you say, lovely. I was so impressed by how the transportation system in the whole country makes space for bikes. Welcome to WP :)

Jack
