when i am talking to somebody or i am listening to somebody or i am responding to somebody, i find that i am always dropping in political opinions or politically motivated staatments. a lot of the time i just cant help it.

is this a typical thing for somebody with AS to do?

I guess it would fit in the "turn any conversation to your interest" thing. But then, I know a few people who always do that because they are just very politically involved.

i wouldnt say i was politically involved - its more just my opinion.

for example - if somebody asked me about the weather - i would probably feel the need to mention something about global warming politics.

in the backwards sticks where i live, that would get me killed in an instant.

I generally don't open my mouth a whole lot when there's a chance I'll vehemently disagree with someone. I don't know what to say without implying the person is an idiot. The best I can do is give the "ummm... yea" look and change the subject ASAP.

I have no interest in politics.

I actually have an open mind.

when i say politics i dont necessarily mean government politics. it can be any kind of politics.

everybody does politics - its unavoidable.
