I don't have the links, but they should be easy to find.. Check these out, crazy musicians:

Darkane (heavy, in the vein of children of bodom but crank all the dials up a whole lot, crazy guitarists)

Meshuggah (very heavy "math-metal" some of the craziest solos I've ever heard get the song "new millenium cyanide christ"

Mastodon (new album "Blood Mountain" insane and beautiful)

Mr Bungle (this band is a funky cross of almost every genre, check out the album "Disco Volante"

yeah i've heard all those bands, with the exeption of darkane. i haven't heard that group before i'll check them out though. i don't like meshuggah because i don't like time signatures, i'm old fashioned and need to follow along to the beat, i can't have things jumping around all over the place it confuses me

Well...

Originally meshuggah confused the crap outta me, I deleted the songs, around 3 years later (after hearing lateralus by tool) I listened to them again, and began to understand...

The crazy thing about them is its much more simple than it seems, its just cycles, some people have to count 32 bars or whatever, I just learn it by feeling it..

I'll add a few more bands here just in case you wanna check them out:

Arcturus
Strapping Young Lad (and devin townsend)
Mudvayne
Machine Head
Head Control System
Cave in

beleive me i've tried liking meshuggah tomas haake is one of the better drummers out there, i love his drumming. meshuggah have really great musicians, its just not my type of metal. machinehead are comming out with a new album called the blackening, soon so it should be interesting to see what they've done since through the ashes of empires, wich i enjoyed. hopefully it doesn't suck.
